I am a beginner sewing seriously.

I have a pair of nylon above the knee, which are not really about the knee. You have the thighs, and I want at the top are visible in a fairly short skirt / shorts.

Now my questions are:

1. When I edit, nylons for various cotton fabrics modified (only materials I have worked). If so, how?

2. How can I change it?
